Name: Tag
Age: ~9 years old, female Weight: about 45lbs Breed/Mix: husky x Sled dog name: unknown Age at adoption: 5 years old Adopted from: Victoria Humane Society, 2015 Coat - single/double: single coat Likes: running off leash, yogurt buckets Dislikes: doorways are still scary Sleeping locations: on her bed in our bedroom or if in a hotel room, on the other bed Off-leash time: yes Escaped or lost?: no Siblings: unknown Medical conditions: she's pretty healthy Spayed/Neutered at adoption: yes Known history: no Anything else you'd like to add: We had her for less than a week and she bolted from the motor home when the door was opened. She was 1/2 way across the parking lot in a heartbeat but she did stop and come back to Kev (her dad) when he whistled. She does like to hide under the buildings at the range when she knows we are packing up to leave. Session notes: I first met Tag in May 2015. She had just come into care and was a fun little girl. She loved to run around with the dogs at the kennel where she was being fostered. When I met her again for her session, she was fearful of coming in the studio, but treats helped and she relaxed enough for me to get the photos. Once the camera was put down though, she sniffed around and lay down on the mat and relaxed more. Coming into a new space can be scary for all sorts of dogs and I can say no two sleddies have acted the same - similarly, yes - but not the same. It was a please to see this girl again - although her history is unknown, she reminds me of a few of the Whistler sleddies - Lady, Manny, Whiney (now Cooper). |
