Name: Beamie (Bea)
Age: 2-3 years, female Weight: 20 kg Breed/Mix: Husky/Pointer/Grehound? Sled dog name: Beamie Age at adoption: n/a - I’m fostering her Adopted from: n/a - I’ve been fostering her since March 2017 Coat - single/double: single with light undercoat Likes: playing in water, zoomies, chasing doggie friends Dislikes: loud noises, scared of being touched, getting caught up in leashes Sleeping locations: my bed Off-leash time: yes, in fenced area Escaped or lost?: escaped twice. 1st time - missing 24 hours, 2nd time, came back in a few minutes (*note GPS tracker on collar) Siblings: unknown Medical conditions: possible food allergies Spayed/Neutered at adoption: she was spayed after coming into care of Victoria Humane Society Known history: came from Whistler area Session notes: Beamie was in foster when she came for her session. She had been living with Jasper and his humans for a few months so she had a sleddie buddy helping ease the transition to living inside a house and all the weirdness that goes along with it. All sleddies new into foster care with the Victoria Humane Society get a GPS collar. In Bea's case, it came in handy when she went on her solo adventure. I photographed 4 sleddies during this session (Jasper, Beamie, Mary Kate & Ashley) - and when they weren't posing for their session, they were squishing up on the 'sleddie sofa' - I know it was more of a 'security in numbers' thing, but it was pretty adorable and they seemed comfortable doing it, so we just took lots of photos. |
