Name: Daisy
Age: 7-8 years, female Weight: 48 lbs Breed/Mix: Pointer/Saluki or Greyhound Sled dog name: unknown Age at adoption: 5-6 years Adopted from: Victoria Humane Society Coat - single/double: single Likes: love and attention, bush walks Dislikes: wind, thunder and lightning, loud bangs Sleeping locations: at night - on top of me; during the day, in ‘her’ recliner Off-leash time: yes, lots Escaped or lost?: no Siblings: unknown Medical conditions: no Spayed/Neutered at adoption: yes Known history: Originally from Ohio, rescued by a kennel owner in Whistler, then transferred to Victoria Humane Society Anything else you'd like to add: She’s very talkative, clingy (in the nicest way possible), and very attached to her sledding sibling Grey. She avoids all dog-related conflict and she’s very intuitive regarding the energy of other dogs. She is constantly trying to push past things/situations she’s nervous or unsure of, especially when she sees that Grey is ok with that situation. Session notes: When I first met Daisy I wanted to take her home. She had just come into care with the Victoria Humane Society and when I went to photograph her and the gang she came in with at the VHS kennels, she was such a love bug. My husband had come along to help and she followed him around and as soon as he sat down on a ramp in the kennel, she jumped up to get some pets. I knew she would get a great home... and she did. She was pretty nervous at the session, but she saw her sibling GreyGrey was ok with it, so she did her best to be ok with it too. Daisy passed away January 26, 2020. |
