Adopted from: SPCA Victoria, October 2013
Coat - single/double: single
Likes: balls, snuggles/bed, toys, bones, sitting in the sun, playing w/adopted siblings
Dislikes: loud noises (fireworks), new things (anything different)
Sleeping locations: living room carpet, furniture
Off-leash time: yes, yard only
Escaped or lost?: yes 1 time, about 5 mins only
Siblings: Moon, Sky (lives with adopted sleddie sibling, Silly and malamute siblings)
Medical conditions: no
Spayed/Neutered at adoption: yes
Known history: He came from the Whistler kennels 
Anything else you'd like to add: Sun is extremely intelligent, obedient, gentle & affectionate. He becomes everybody’s favourite.. 


Session notes:
As you can see, Sun is a tall fella. I first met Sun when he was still in Whistler in September 2013. He seemed very curious, following me around the kennel area as I took photos, always keeping his distance and sometimes barking. When I met him at a reunion a year later he was a different dog. He ran around all loose and carefree, took treats from strangers and came to me willingly for pets.
Doing this project for me also means letting go of what I know of the dogs. Some of the dogs I met five years previously when they were new into care and they've changed so much... for the better.
A little love and patience in helping them get used to a new way of life, can go a long way.

Sun is a survivor of the 2010 Whistler sled dog cull.
Sun passed away August 21, 2020
